McKean County Democrat October 29, 1914

The contract for doing the brick work on Quirk’s garage has been let to Joseph McCarthy, of Pittsburgh. Work was commenced on the new structure this morning. The contract for the stone work has been awarded to Frank and Chris McCarthy, of this borough. The work will be rushed to early completion. The new building, which will be a brick, fireproof structure, will be two stories high and will contain a large basement. The structure will pretty near completely cover the lot at the corner of Main and Union Streets, which Mr. Quirk recently purchased from the D. C. Young estate. The plans call for a building which will be an ornament to the town.

Francis Quirk Buys Full Control of Ford Agency

McKean County Democrat May 15, 1930

A deal was closed this week by which Francis Quirk purchased the interests of his father, Jas. Quirk, in the local Ford agency and garage of Quirk & Sons.

The elder Mr. Quirk, who founded this successful business enterprise in 1911, is retiring from active business pursuits.

Francis Quirk, who has been closely associated with his father in the conduct of the garage, is one of the town’s progressive young business men and under his ownership Quirk’s Ford Garage will continue to prosper.
