Novelty Restaurant Owner Dies

Lewis Burke died at his home here last Saturday morning, about 10 minutes past twelve, of typhoid fever, after an illness of about one week, at the age of 26 years.  Burke was born at Waterfall, Prince william county, Va., where his parents reside at present, and where his remains were taken for burial on Saturday afternoon.  Lewis came here about 6 years ago, and for about four and a half years worked for our esteemed townsman, Robert King.  Some six months ago, in connection with Tom Young, they started the Novelty Restaurant, and by diligence and strict attention to business, had established a fine trade in that line.  But the grim destroyer came along and cut Lewis off in the flower of manhood.  He was well liked by everyone, not an enemy anywhere as far as known.  Always gentlemanly and kind to everybody, he was respected wherever he went.
