In the Basement of the Grand Central

During the mid-1890's, Emil Thamm was a cigar manufacturer and owner of a smoking room in the basement of the Grand Central.  We believe that the smoking business was shut down after the 1899 Grand Central Fire.

Mr. Emil Thamm, the cigar maker, is also a taxidermist, and is done some very neat work in that line now. Any one wishing work of that kind will do well to call on Mr. Thamm
