On Monday work begins on the B.R.&P. railroad’s
new depot. It will be of Ohio blue stone and Lewis Run brick. The contract
is let. It will occupy a large share of the ground where the old depot and
freight house stood, and be one of the finest structures in the city. Ample
room will be left to approach it on all sides and its internal arrangements
will be complete. A fine freight depot is to follow but the plans for it
are not quite ready yet. |
