Now known as the Grillo House, this farm was built by Aaron Hellman in June of 1895, one month after he bought the old G.W. Belknap farm. Aaron was a car inspector for the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railroad. He and his wife Emma had three children, Charles, Anne and Lizzie. Charles also worked for the railroad. The McKean County Miner October 7, 1898 noted that Aaron Hellman sent a certified check for $500 to Richard Fox of New York City, saying he is open to all wrestling opponents---he was known as "The Terrible Swede". The Grillo family, which was in Clermont at this time, bought the farm from Hellman August 10, 1926. Joe Grillo, who was a member of both the Smethport and Clermont Fire Departments, grew up in this house, just East of the Clermont School.
