Foote Subdues Attacking Students
January 28,1915

The Democrat is informed that James Foot, the principal of the East Smethport school, is perfectly capable of maintaining the very best discipline in that school without the least difficulty. There are some pretty husky lads attending that school, and report has it that a resolution was recently entered into that if Mr. Foote undertook to maintain order that the lads would double team him, and put the principal out of commission. In order to carry this plot out one of the boys began action, and Mr. Foote so easily subdued the young man that his companions lost all courage in rendering assistance and the scrimmage ended very quickly.
