Anson and Betsey Camfield purchased this house, located at
105 E.King Street,in 1891from Marcellus Ray for $875.
At the time of the purchase, Smethport was so rural,
that Mr. and Mrs. Camfield could have their farm on King Street.
Mr. and Mrs. Camfield owned the house from 1891
until 1896.  They then sold it to Elizabeth E. Chambers in March of 1897.
