The large cross that surmounts the spire of the new St. Luke's Church was forged by Wm. Masser, of Smethport, and it speaks well of his ability as a workman.  Mr. Masser is certainly one of the best workman in his line in this section, in fact we doubt if there is a better in the State.  He is equal to any emergency as the Miner has had reason to know on several occasions.
