  Big Mill Running
One of the busiest towns in the State of Pennsylvania is Norwich, the hustling town located on the headwaters of Potato Creek, twelve
miles south of this place.  The big Goodyear mill started to run steadily on Monday, employing about one hundred men and the new water
works and sewage system are being put in which employ many more men.

The Goodyear mill which is under the management of Harvey & Collins, well known and experienced mill-wrights, started up on
Wednesday, Nov. 1 and did a little sawing to try out the machinery.  On Monday they started regularly running a day shift and they expect to saw about 100,000 feet of lumber per day, with the single shift.  This mill as it is running now employs about one hundred men and when the other shift is put on it will employ double that number.

The Goodyear company has started drilling for gas.  Two wells have already been drilled for gas.  By next summer they expect to have
sufficient gas to pipe the town and supply their plants and private consumers.
