The Cameron County High School was built in 1953 with a capacity of 760 students and an area of 88,500 square fee; costing $1,093,009. In 1962,
their was an addition put on of 21,900 feet. Student capacity was taken up to 1,086 students and final construction costs were totaled as $1,614,134.
