Originally this area bore the name
of Simpson. But when a whirlwind twister came roaring across the top of the
mountain on September 24, 1884, shaking the tiny villiage of Simpson thoroughly
and laying numerous oil derricks flat, the town was changed to bear the name
of its destroyer "Cyclone".

for a Lifetime."
