1881: Third Courthouse for McKean County. It was completed in 1881 at a cost of $80,000. Buffalo architect Milton Earl Beebe was hired to design the project. Beebe had considerable experience and fame, and the retaining of such a noted architect indicated the new found imortance and wealth of the county. It was destroyed by fire February 1940.
