Shown here is Edward A. Guenter with his wife, Myra A. Cory, and their son Fritz Guenter (about 2 years of age). Ed was a contractor in the oil fields who also wrote excellent articles about the oil business which were published in journals and newspapers over a six-state area (contiguous to PA). In his contracting business, he traveled among all these states. He did all this while also co-owning and managing the Coryville store and gas station. As an adult, Fritz Guenter was a physician and surgeon serving Smethport, Port Allegany, and the region. Ed and Myra had a second child, their daughter, Edith Alberta Guenter.
