The
Brasted Bakery was located just across the street from the
carriage shops and the lumber mills. Workers would stop on their
way home to purchase baked goods for their families and bread for their
daily lunch boxes. The Brasted Bakery was located on the lot where
the current IU9 building driveway is located.
The stream under the foot bridge shown in the
top photo is now diverted away from the IU-9 Building.
